The challenge

From fragmented fleet management to one clear approach.

Renewi, a leading player in waste and recycling management, faced a significant challenge. The organisation wanted to outsource its fleet management to a new partner with a Benelux-wide approach that would also provide a clear overview of the fleet.

There were different ways of working between the countries. Furthermore, the organisation noticed that communication regarding the current status was not uniform across entities. There was no central view of available pool cars, communication was not always smooth, and certain vehicles remained unused for long periods without anyone being aware of it.

Renewi therefore sought a partner that could not only take over operational fleet management but also bring structure, transparency, and a future-oriented approach. The goal was to unburden the organisation from fleet management.

The solution

From tender guidance to a uniform Benelux approach.

TraXall guided Renewi through the entire implementation process following the tender procedure.

Together with the relevant stakeholders, a new structure was developed for fleet management in Belgium and the Netherlands, with a focus on continuity, efficiency, and a uniform approach.

During the process, new leasing companies were introduced and selected for the future partnership.

By selecting various specialised suppliers, Renewi no longer had to constantly monitor the market itself. This created the space to collaborate with the most suitable partner for each domain while simultaneously responding optimally to market-aligned terms.

Finally, the charging solution was decoupled from the leasing contracts, allowing Renewi to choose a specialized partner for charging infrastructure and charging services.

A key focus was on mapping existing processes and creating greater visibility across the fleet. Fragmented working methods between countries were replaced by clear procedures for vehicle management, pool cars, communication, and follow-up.
